We’re based in Canberra, Australia, but when you’re out on the water, you’re part of another world, one without borders, shared with paddlers everywhere.

But why ‘Kayakable’? As new, enthusiastic kayakers, we wanted to solve a few challenges that we were faced with:

• Try out new and different kinds of kayaks, wherever we went
• Travel unencumbered and hire on the fly
• Keep costs down.

In other words, the aim was to make us more kayak + able. Hence our name!

As for our domain name .co (‘kayakable.co’), it’s not just about our global hopes for Kayakable; more than anything, it stands for all the good things in life – COnnection, COoperation, COmmunity!

Our mission is to enable paddlers everywhere to get in the water with kayaks or canoes of their choice, no matter where they are or when they want to do it. It doesn’t matter whether you’re into fishing, after some whitewater action, touring or just out for a fun paddle on the river, our aim is to help you find a kayak or canoe that suits you.
